Gutter repair
Fixed when it’s worth fixing.
Most people who call us for a repair are right that something is wrong and unsure what. We’ll look, tell you what’s actually happening, and price the honest fix — including telling you when a repair is throwing money at a system that needs replacing.
What we repair
- Sagging runs — re-hanging, correcting spacing, restoring pitch
- Pulled or failed hangers — including hangers that were wrong for the run from day one
- Leaking corners and miters — the most common leak point on any system
- Separated seams on sectional gutters
- Overflow in storms — diagnosing whether it’s sizing, pitch or blockage
- Damaged sections from impact, ladders or falling limbs
- Downspouts — reattaching, replacing, rerouting, adding capacity
- Drainage at the bottom — often the real fix when the gutter itself is fine
The diagnosis matters more than the patch
A gutter that overflows in a monsoon storm is not necessarily a broken gutter. It may be a correctly functioning gutter that was undersized for the roof draining into it — in which case resealing a corner fixes nothing and it will overflow again in the next storm.
This is the most common thing we find on repair calls: the symptom is at the corner, the cause is the system. We would rather explain that than take payment for a repair we know will not hold.
The one that usually needs replacing
Sectional gutters that are leaking at several joints at once are generally past repair economics. Each joint fixed buys time until the next one goes, and the cumulative cost passes the price of a seamless replacement fairly quickly. We will show you the maths rather than assert it.
